Samsung Galaxy A90 5G with SD 855 SoC and 48MP camera goes official!

The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is finally official. The phone marks the fourth Samsung smartphone so far to feature 5G. This also makes the Samsung Galaxy A90 the first budget flagship smartphone from the South Korean giant to support the new network standard.

The Galaxy A90 5G features a large 6.7″ full HD+ Super AMOLED display, with a waterdrop notch Samsung calls “Infinity-U.” It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 32MP sensor on the the notch cutout for selfies.

Inside, the Galaxy A90 5G houses the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The internal storage maxes out a 128GB, but the phone supports for expansion up to 512GB via microSD card slot.

The back of the Galaxy A91 5G is made out of glass with some “unique geometric pattern.” It is also a home to a triple-camera setup. It comprises of a 48MP for primary camera, 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP sensor for that classic artificial bokeh.

Sure the setup is nothing to write home about, but Samsung added few unique camera features on the A90 5G. Features like Super Steady, Scene Optimizer, Flaw Detector, and even Live Focus Mode for the front-facing camera.

As for the power, the Galaxy A90 5G packs a 4,500mAh of battery, and support for 25W fast charger. The A90 is also the first of the Galaxy A Series to support DeX.

The prices is still unknown, but the handset will go on sale in South Korea tomorrow. Worldwide availability is expected.
