Lenovo Z6 Lite: Here’s everything you need to know!

We may never have heard of the brand Lenovo (for smartphones) as often as we would before, but the company’s smartphone business is still active. In fact, just last month, Lenovo launched its first flagship smartphone for 2019 – the Lenovo Z6. The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, with 12GB of RAM, and triple rear-facing cameras. Pretty much what we expect for a 2019 flagship. Then comes the Lenovo Z6 Lite, also known as Z6 Youth Edition.

The Lenovo Z6 Lite (Youth Edition), as the name suggests, is a stripped-down version of their flagship Z6. The phone is powered by the increasingly popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, with Lenovo’s ZUI 11 on top of Android Pie. The Z6 Lite also comes in three configurations – 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and the top-tier 6GB/128GB. The storage is also expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

On the front, the Z6 Lite sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with HDR10 support. Also, the display is a bit taller at 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There’s o mention of the display protection. Inside the waterdrop notch is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.

Flipping the phone back, we get a triple AI camera. The main unit is a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, the second one is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 telephoto lens. Completing the camera system is a 5-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens. The phone also features up to 8x hybrid zoom, with AI tricks, of course.

On the power department, the Z6 Lite will come with a decent 4,050mAh battery. It also supports 15W fast charging, but if a supported power brick came in the bundle, we’re not yet sure. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos audio, and a dual-frequency GPS. It also came with a headphone jack and a USB-C port.

The Lenovo Z6 Lite is priced at CNY 1,199 ($174) for the 4GB/64GB model, CNY1,399 ($203) for the 6GB/64GB, and CNY1,699 ($246) for the 6GB/128GB variant. The phone will go on sale in China on the 28th of May through the company’s official website, and partner e-commerce sites.
