Google Pixel 4 XL will not feature a notch, finally!

We are still far from the launching of the next-generation Pixel devices. However, we have been getting leaks as early as last month to what the device will actually look like.

For long, we have only seen the back of the handset. And to what we have seen, the Pixel 4 XL may probably be the first to break the single-camera ideology of the Pixel series.

Now, for the facade, looks like Google is reverting to its pre-Pixel 3 eras. Last year’s Pixel 3 has been highly-criticized for its huge robotic-looking notch. With the new Pixel 4, the notch will not be present, but instead a classic thick bezel. The photos were rendered by @OnLeaks and were posted via PriceBaba. The only thing that didn’t change though is the dual-selfie camera.

The XL model is said to have a 6.25″ display with a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint reader is also absent so we might expect an in-display biometric. For the base model, on the other hand, the device is said to sport a display with sizes in between 5.6-5.8″.

As for the cameras, the triple camera setup might include a 16MP sensor with a telephoto lens, as well as a 3D ToF sensor in addition to its primary camera. On the front, rumor has it that it will include a 3D sensor for a more secure face unlock.

Furthermore, Pixel 4 will borrow components from its predecessor. There will be a stereo speaker grilles, a USB-C port, but unfortunately, no headphone jack. The Pixel 4 XL will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and will offer up to 6GB of RAM. The device is expected to launch this October.
